THE FAN BEHIND THE WEBSITE
HI, I’M
BRIAN
GALVAN.
Digital services. Data engineering.
And, apparently, a shift at McDowell’s.
A favorite movie, a little creative practice, and a very good excuse to wear plaid.

A NOTE FROM BRIAN
SOME MOVIES
STAY WITH YOU.
Built for practice.
Served with a laugh.
Coming to America was one of my favorite movies growing up. It still makes me laugh, and it’s a classic I’m always happy to revisit. McDowell’s, Cleo, the Golden Arcs… some jokes just never get old.
This website is my way of having a little fun with that nostalgia while practicing web design and development techniques. It gave me a chance to experiment with layouts, visuals, and interactions, and imagine what a fictional fast-food favorite might look like with a proper website.
I work on projects for companies around the world, but sometimes I like to build something like this just to try a few things, sharpen my skills, and have a laugh along the way.
I hope this little detour to Queens brought you a smile, too.
Thanks for stopping by,Brian

ANOTHER BRIAN GALVAN SIDE PROJECT
A very serious-looking joke.
A different kindof funny business.
ONE MORE SITE. ONE MORE LAUGH.
FROM BURGERS
TO BROKERS.
I also built Duke & Duke, another website for a laugh—this time inspired by Trading Places (1983). Same love of classic comedies. A different kind of questionable business.
Randolph and Mortimer Duke, played by Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche, are the wealthy brothers whose wager turns Billy Ray Valentine and Louis Winthorpe III’s lives upside down. Old money, enormous egos, and some very memorable orange juice.
A familiar pair: the Duke brothers also cameo in Coming to America. Consider this my little comedy crossover.
